Industrial designer Bill Dieter founded Terrazign Inc. in 1995. Terrazign quickly established a strong reputation in the design of technical soft goods. Our expertise lies in using materials unconventionally and seamlessly integrating textiles with hard goods. We collaborate with a diverse range of clients where we are involved in all phases of product design from the inception of a project to production development.  Products include restraint harnesses for NASA astronauts, sports training equipment for NIKE/SPARQ Products, a weather enclosure for the Segway human transporter, a system for the mass production of T-cells for the biotech industry and low profile heatable garments.

Located at The Plant, a restored industrial warehouse in SE Portland’s mixed industrial residential neighborhood, Terrazign combines a soft goods studio with a 6,000 square foot hard goods shop. Having these two types of studios under one roof allows us to prototype almost anything very quickly.
